App State Community Music School @ HUB Station

MAKE MUSIC! ALL AGES! YES, YOU CAN!

Music is Balm for the Soul!

The Community Music School (CMS), part of the Hayes School of Music at App State, is launching face-to-face music classes at The HUB Station in a partnership that will expand community outreach by App State’s CMS and arts programming at HUB Station.

CMS is offering youth classes in guitar, as long as the current health climate will allow. Classes will launch again during spring semester of 2022. Youth Chorale will accept ages 8-12, and other classes will designate age limitations. CMS’s HUB Station programs, led by local teachers from Hudson and Boone, is housed in HUB Station, giving access to a dedicated classroom and other common spaces for instruction and performance, including The Performing Arts Suite.

The Community Music School offers “Pay What You Can” options for its group programs. Participants can select from a range of prices in registration ($250, $185, $125, $75 and $0). There is also a $25 registration fee.

Students/Families that need financial assistance may indicate so by selecting a cost less than the full cost of $250 for a series of 12 weekly classes.

Registration for ASU CMS Classes is handled by App State registration online. The contact phone number is 828-262-3029.
